Layer Layer Crepe Cake

Crepe Cake is undoubtedly a must try cake. Made from many layers of crepe and top with light cream after each crepe makes this cake wonderfully special. Crepe must be thin and cream must be thin as well.
Absolutely stunning the crepe cake.
There are only few places selling it in Malaysia. City centre like KL only has 3 places that I stumbled upon selling this cake- Section 13, PJ, Sungai Wang Plaza and Empire Gallery. None of the list is as good as the famous Nadeja in Melaka town. Somehow the crepe is not so thin. Thin crepe is hard to master and putting thin crepe means you have to put more layer and all this require more time. Guess time is the limitation for good cake but hey.... they are charging similar or higher than the famous one in Melaka, OK... blame it on the cost of rental in city center.

Well, I drove 2 hours to Melaka recently just because I miss this cake too much. Lucky enough that I have my sister and some boyfriends to company me on this cake tasting trip.
With more people on the trip, I have more flavors to try on :)
Spoilt with selection of cakes
Reaching the store and spoilt with variety of cakes…. Took 4 for taste and each has its unique flavor. Expensive thou as each cake cost RM9-10/slice. But well, it worth every penny as the cake is amazingly delicious.

The cakes finishes quite early especially on weekend. To avoid dissapointement, you can actually call their store and booked in advance. Heard that even a slice also they will reserve for you. No harm trying to reserve if you really are going there. Get more news on the latest promo via their FB on Nadeje Fan Page

Date with Seremban

I am back with more power and more stories.

Getting ready for FOOD!!!
Been to many places for food for past month and one particular places I wanted to share this round is the Seremban wet market food. Not the raw food of course. It’s the food court on top of the wet market I’m talking here. Foods are great and prices are reasonably cheap.

Journey from my house is just 30mins (Ahem… I stayed at Selangor edge :P).

Seremban has a famous Hakka Mee (RM3.50/bowl-small). Well, it’s written by many bloggers earlier and not going to elaborate further. One word to describe the dish- AMAZING! Looks clear but tasted startlingly with bouncy hand-made noodle. Look for the old signboard.
Deliciously bouncy Hakka Mee
Not to forget the the beef noodle (RM6.00/bowl). They have the option of dry and soup noodle. Personally I prefer the dried one because tasted somehow different. Thick gravy with chunks of salted vegetable slices of marinated meat, dashes of sesame seed lastly the soul for the noodle- the chopped peanut. Perfecto!
Scrumptuos Dry Beef-Noodle. I can eat this over and over again.... Yummz!
Later is their brown squid mee-hoon (RM3.50/plate). The stall is located few door away from the famous beef noodle. Recommend this store as I find others a bit tasteless on their gravy. Fried mee-hoon added with some pork and soy gravy. It tasted bit like the canned stewed meat…. Even better than that and the meat is chewier.
Blended well- brown squid with chewy meat and crispy mee-hoon.
Remember that I’ve read an article on newspaper on the ice kacang (shredded ice topped with mixture of syrup and many sweet food) located there so my last trip I give it a try. Ahhh…. Bring back some memories of high school. Old uncle operating the stall and everything is prepared by himself. Taste OK bt find it a bit sweet… Dear uncle, people has change to healthier lifestyle…. Keep your sugar level down.
Taste of old school
Bring back school days memory

Adios… I shall keep you guys posted on my food journey.
