Worth going>>>>> Definately!!!
If you are in Kuching, you must not miss their kolok noodle. It looks something like our wantan mee in peninsular but without the egg into the making of the noodle as what they claimed plus the cooking way for this noodle is also different.

The land of cat (kuching in Malay)
I have a chance to visit one old shop in Kuching by the name of Sin Lian Shin which is located in Green Lane. You won’t miss the shop as it’s located at the main street opposite the bus stop of the Green Road Secondary School.
The old shop by the above name
The special about the kolok mee (RM2.70/ bowl) in this place is the way they are cooked- the plain and the reddish. The plain looking noodle is added with the clear lard oil. Thou its simple way of preparation, it taste good. The interesting reddish noodle is added with barbecued pork marinade, hence the reddish hue of the noodle. This one is slightly sweeter than the original but still tastes good nonetheless. These noodles are topped with minced pork, barbecued pork slices and chopped scallions no matter it’s the plain or the reddish one.
It looks good and it taste better
I am looking forward for my next trip to taste the authentic kolok mee again…. Yumzzz..
